General Motors will install Siri in its cars



The leading U.S. automobile wants to modernize its cars by including Siri, the voice assistant Apple launched in 2011 with the iPhone 4S.

At the motor show in Los Angeles , the U.S. manufacturer has announced plans to integrate Siri in 2013 in some of its models. This will help voice first proposed the Chevrolet Spark and the Sonic LTZ RS.

"Through the system of information and entertainment on board MyLink standard on Chevrolet, customers with a compatible iPhone running iOS 6 can ask Siri to perform a number of operations while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel, "said GM told AFP.
Discovering Siri with the iPhone 4S in 2011, many users have been seeing a solution to manage the GPS in his car. They can do with the application plans. They can also call their music on iTunes without using their hands, check their text messages in audio playback, and dial by speaking aloud.
Europeans are not left on the integration of new technologies into their cars. To better understand the evolution, Volkswagen opened in 1998 at the Electronics Research Laboratory Belmont few miles from Mountain View and Cupertino, the respective headquarters of Google and Apple.
